Accomplished school administrator Craig Hockenberry has held a number of leadership positions in the Cincinnati, Ohio, public school system. For the past 5 years, Craig Hockenberry has served as superintendent of the Three Rivers Local School District, where his recent accomplishments including hosting a High Aims Summer Institute at Three Rivers Local School in 2017.
The High Aims program is a consortium of 32 southwestern Ohio public school districts that aim to improve academic achievement across district boundaries. Established in 1998, the program originally focused on math and science, operating for 5 years in collaboration with Michigan State University through a National Science Foundation grant. For the past 10 years, High Aims has expanded to include all core academic subjects, utilizing blended learning techniques to teach students valuable problem-solving skills. The program’s annual summer summit, which is typically attended by more than 2,000 Ohio educators, involves 2 days of instruction, including keynote speakers and breakout sessions. In addition to the summer summit, educators can attend a winter forum and various ongoing seminars and coaching series.
